Negligence by Doctors During Night Duty

It bothers me when a patient is brought to the hospital in the evening or at night especially someone close to our heart and the responsible doctors are found sleeping in their rooms instead of attending patients. In many cases internship students are left in charge without proper supervision. Sometimes these students make wrong treatment decisions which can seriously risk a patient’s life. Hospitals should ensure that qualified doctors remain available during duty hours and properly monitor all emergency cases
