Recently, several allegations regarding corruption, financial irregularities, and mismanagement in educational institutions connected to Mysuru have appeared in news reports. These incidents have raised concerns among students, parents, and the public about transparency and accountability in higher education.One major report involved the University of Mysore, where a syndicate member alleged a scam worth nearly ₹5 crore related to tenders and infrastructure purchases in the university. Allegations were made against senior university officials regarding irregular approval of contracts and misuse of university funds.Another investigation focused on engineering college admissions in Karnataka, where agencies found evidence of illegal cash collection and seat-selling through middlemen and agents. Reports claimed that large amounts of unaccounted money were collected during admissions to professional colleges.
