Diagnostic Inaccuracy & Pathology Fraud

India has 100,000+ diagnostic labs, but less than 1% are NABL-Certified(National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories) or recognized by bodies like the CDSCO. this is bcz getting these certificates are voluntary. thus there is no oversight on these labs and it different numbers on results with various labs leading to a wrong diagnosis. these labs does not work on international standards and don't have regular equipment checkings.
