Delayed and deferred government salaries

As Himachal Pradesh is facing a severe financial crisis, resulting in delayed and deferred government salaries. To manage mounting fiscal stress, the state government ordered a temporary deferment of 20-50% in the salaries of the Chief Minister, cabinet ministers, MLAs, and top bureaucrats for a period of six months, while lower-level employees (Group C and D) have been exempted.
To mitigate the severe cash crunch and ensure lower-tier employees are protected, the government announced temporary deferments for top leadership and officials. This withheld money is not a permanent cut, but rather funds deferred to be paid when the state's financial condition improves.
1). Chief Minister: Up to 50%of the salary deferred.
2). Deputy CM & Ministers: 30% of the salary deferred.
3). MLAs & Political Appointees: 20%of the salary deferred.
4). Top Bureaucrats (Chief Secretary, DGPs, Principal Secretaries): 30% of the salary deferred.
5). Mid-Level Officers & HoDs: 20%of the salary deferred.
