Systemic Negligence, Fraud, and the Willful Destruction of Student Careers at Assam University

Assam University has transformed from a center of higher learning into a graveyard of student aspirations. We are raising an urgent alarm against the sheer negligence, rampant irregularities, and deep-rooted systemic failures plaguing the university's administration. This institution is no longer just failing its students; it is actively destroying their careers and lives.
​The most glaring injustice is the egregious delay in declaring examination results—often stretching up to an entire year. These unjustified delays have cost brilliant students their hard-earned admissions into prestigious postgraduate institutions and ruined immediate employment prospects. While other universities across the state manage to operate on time, Assam University leaves its students stranded, helplessly watching their futures slip away due to administrative apathy.
​Furthermore, the evaluation process itself is highly compromised. Unfair paper checking, arbitrary grading, and severe irregularities point toward systemic fraud within the examination cell. Hardworking candidates are being robbed of the marks they deserve.
​Worst of all, when students dare to question these corrupt practices or express their despair over lost opportunities on public platforms, they are met with tyrannical threats. The administration has resorted to a draconian gag order—threatening to withhold the degrees and ruin the academic records of any student who speaks out against their incompetence.
​We refuse to be intimidated by an administration that masks its own failures with authoritarianism. We demand an immediate, transparent, and independent investigation into the examination cell. We demand the swift declaration of all pending results, a total overhaul of the paper-checking process, and an absolute end to the harassment and threatening of students. It is time to hold Assam University accountable before more young lives are pushed into despair.
