Regards documentation or government files

Entering a government office often feels less like exercising a civic right and more like begging for a royal favor. Across the globe, the administrative machinery meant to serve the public has instead become a gatekeeper of human dignity. The combination of patronizing, scornful behavior from officials and agonizingly slow service does more than just delay paperwork—it actively demeans the citizenry.
This arrogance is a direct result of unmonitored power. Because government agencies hold an absolute monopoly on essential documentation, citizens have no alternative service provider. The desk becomes a tiny kingdom. When an official speaks down to a citizen, it is a deliberate assertion of dominance. It forces the individual to swallow their pride and tolerate disrespect simply because they cannot afford the consequences of an official’s spite.
If this condescension were paired with efficiency, it might be a minor nuisance. Instead, it is paired with a system that moves at a glacial pace. The requirement to return multiple times for a single signature is a hidden "time tax." For the working class or small business owners, these delays mean lost income and wasted resources. The system weaponizes time, turning routine transactions into marathons of psychological endurance.
