Corruption in Traffic and Transport Is Hurting Public Development

Traffic congestion, poor transport systems, damaged roads, weak public infrastructure, and unplanned urban development continue to affect millions of Indians every day. Citizens pay heavy taxes expecting better roads, safer transport, proper traffic management, and modern infrastructure, yet many people still face daily frustration because of corruption, delays, and misuse of public funds.
Many citizens believe that money allocated for roads, transport projects, drainage systems, and public development often gets wasted through corruption at different levels of administration. From large contracts to local projects, lack of transparency and accountability damages public trust and slows real development.
India needs cleaner governance, transparent use of taxpayer money, better traffic planning, stronger public transport systems, safer roads, and strict accountability in infrastructure projects. Public money should be used for public benefit — not lost through corruption and poor administration.
