Clean india green india
Around here, there are more potholes than actual road; it’s hard to tell whether the road is in the potholes or the potholes are in the road. Furthermore, no drains ever get cleaned here; it’s just a two-or-three-day charade that takes place solely during election season. Once that’s over, everything reverts right back to how it was before. Roadwork only continues until just before the elections—and after that? Screw it. They fix one road only to dig up another and leave it unfinished. Meanwhile, right here in Delhi, during the G20 summit—specifically along the routes where the Prime Minister and other motorcades were scheduled to pass—the roads were absolutely pristine. Compared to the rest of the city, it makes it feel as though the G20 was nothing more than a theatrical performance.
